Call me Putrid, a fundraising, ethic, linguistic and advertising campaign to suggest and promote the changing of the name of the actual Russian president.
This world might certainly improve if only we called and defined things with right, appropriate and sincere words!

What’s in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet.

But by what I have gathered from your own relation, and the answers I have with much pains wrung and extorted from you, I cannot but conclude the bulk of your natives to be the most pernicious race of little odious vermin that nature ever suffered to crawl upon the surface of the earth.
Jonathan Swift
Insisting on calling Tsar, the miserable Putrid, clearly highlights the slavish imbecility of many journalists around the world, and certainly makes them more morons than what the great Shakespeare would rightly have called, “a poor capocchia”.
Carl William Brown
Nomen (est) omen in Latin means “the name is a sign”, that’s nominative determinism, in other words the name is supposed to suggest certain traits of personality (if you talk about a person) or behavior. That’s why I suggest to change the name of the stupid, ferocious, fierce, savage, vicious, wild, grim, murderous and shitty Russian president, and from now on he should be called Mister Putrid! You might also opt for Putrel, the union of Hitler and Putin, but I prefer Putrid. In order to promote this aim and share with it other fundamental ethic ideas I clearly need money to promote the noble cause. As you see, a very synthetic goal, not a book or an essay, but just a name change.
This is called “Nominative determinism” that is the hypothesis that people tend to gravitate towards areas of work that fit their names. The term was first used in the magazine New Scientist in 1994, after the magazine’s humorous “Feedback” column noted several studies carried out by researchers with remarkably fitting surnames. These included a book on polar explorations by Daniel Snowman and an article on urology by researchers named Splatt and Weedon. These and other examples led to light-hearted speculation that some sort of psychological effect was at work. Since the term appeared, nominative determinism has been an irregularly recurring topic in New Scientist, as readers continue to submit examples. Nominative determinism differs from the related concept aptronym, and its synonyms ‘aptonym’, ‘namephreak’, and ‘Perfect Fit Last Name’ (captured by the Latin phrase nomen est omen ‘the name is a sign’), in that it focuses on causality. ‘Aptronym’ merely means the name is fitting, without saying anything about why it has come to fit.
The mass of mankind is as fit to think as it is to fly.
Jonathan Swift
I believe in compulsory cannibalism. If people were forced to eat what they killed, there would be no more wars.
Abbie Hoffman
The destructive forces of humanity are directly proportional to the scientific, technological, sociological, economic, political and military capabilities of its imbecility.
Carl William Brown
Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.
Carlo Cipolla
The putrid president of the great Russian nation has always had the presumption of wanting to enter the history of human stupidity, and unfortunately we must say that he is succeeding.
Carl William Brown
Carlo Cipolla says that a stupid person is the most dangerous type of person, and I can easily add that Mister Putrid, the Russian president, is certainly very stupid and unsafe.
Carl William Brown
This war of Russia against Ukraine and the alleged Nazism of the West demonstrates without a shadow of a doubt that more than a clash between civilizations, as some poor intellectuals affirm, we are in the presence of an immense triumph of the imbecility of human cruelty.
Carl William Brown
Remember that all through history, there have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they seem invincible. But in the end, they always fall. Always.
Mahatma Gandhi
As Karl Popper said, a nation is democratic when it is capable of depriving its incapable rulers of power, and I add most of all cruel ones. That’s why Russia, ruled by the filthy Putrid, is nothing but a dirty dictatorship that deserves to be sanitized. Of course there have always been wars, and in the course of history they have always highlighted the real problems of human nature, that is cruelty, violence, aggression, thirst for power, indifference and so on.
Men of good will have always tried to remedy to such tragedies with good words and the dissemination of messages and ethical examples, but this was not enough. As a matter of fact, as Gandhi used to say, the things that will destroy us are: politics without principle; pleasure without conscience; wealth without work; knowledge without character; business without morality; science without humanity; and worship without sacrifice.
In my opinion, at the basis of everything there is human stupidity and its pernicious alliance with the power of the rulers, to this is added the indifference of the common people, and even worse the imbecility of the sycophants of power, or the architects of propaganda.
The multiple purpose of this campaign is therefore, in addition to changing the name of the president in question, for obvious logical reasons, also to spread culture, ideas, provocations, sensitivity, and materials, promoting everything with the different media available today, which obviously need money to function discreetly.
At the same time, it will all serve to promote my writings and opinions, which I hope will be shared by many of you and supported by your help and donations. The campaign in question was suggested to me by a deceased friend, Andros, who committed suicide a few years ago.
To remember him here is one of his quotes: “In life I do various things, in death I will do less. Sculptures, paintings, installations, books and other useless stuff: my poor contribution to entropy.” The idea came to me when I was updating some posts in my blogs concerning the campaign I had promoted in favor of his works of art to suggest to the public that some of them should be exhibited in the Vatican museums.
In this case it was not a fundraiser activity, but only an advertising campaign, which was not very successful. What the dead had no speech for, when living, They can tell you, being dead: the communication Of the dead is tongued with fire beyond the language of the living. T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets
Later then, with the development of my sites I also joined the Ko-fi.com site, with this intention, to obtain Some coffees. As I wrote on this platform, I set this simple goal on Ko-fi.com in order to test and demonstrate human generosity and its sense of humor. Then I added to my potential coffee bidders, this quote:”Nevertheless, don’t worry and be happy, since I am a scholar of stupidity, thanks for existing in any case.”
So, also for this new campaign, my main commitment must be clear to everyone, it is to spread my thoughts that have always fought against the stupidity of power, and the power of stupidity, if the job does not interest, its purpose partially it is reached equally, because in doing this type of operation, you always learn something, and therefore as we used to say that it is not wasted time.
The end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
T.S. Eliot
I’m Carl William Brown, a kind of holistic teacher, a webmaster, and a writer of aphorisms and essays, who wrote my university dissertation on humor, because life might be considered as a comical and sad joke, above all if you live in Italy. I am also a blogger and an amateur trader. I have written more than 10,000 original quotes and at present I’m also working at my only novel, Fort Attack. At the moment I’m teaching English in a secondary school, but up to now I have done a lot of other things as well, both in business, educational, sport and social fields.
Some years ago, in 1997 following the examples of the Rotary or the Lyons Clubs I founded the Daimon Club Organization to promote every sort of activities, creativity, art, literature, new technologies, informatics, business and marketing, public health and education and to meet new friends with these kind of interests. Basically I’m a reformer, a philosophical hacker, and a fighter against stupidity, violence, racism, ignorance and social disparities.
As I said before during my life I have been committed to several cultural activities and now one of my main goals is to support The world of English project, that is to encourage public opinion through the web, the media and other different networks to foster the role of English as the World common, unifying language of human cultural communication.

Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach
It is useless to blame the cruel dictators of the past, remembering them in vain, when on the contrary all the filthy rulers of the present are allowed to flourish, with their disastrous consequences on most of the current world concentration camps!
Carl William Brown
Everyone can help with this campaign, writers, photographers, graphic designers, journalists, actors, workmen, professionals and so on, everyone can add something to the original idea, using the different media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Blogs, Magazines, Newspapers, Books, Tvs, etc.
